Native British English teacher with 5+ years experience teaching English While I was in Berlin, I hosted a weekly meetup where all of my friends who were learning English would meet in a coffee shop in the centre of town for a few hours. There, we would talk about various subjects such as the weather, life, politics and travelling. It was an excellent opportunity for all to meet new people and establish new friendships. We all learnt a lot about not only each other but also other people's countries and cultures.

Certified tutor with six years of experience Hi everyone! My name is Tuana. I am a certified language tutor from Turkey, but I live in the UK. My passion for foreign languages brought me to the Department of Language and Literature, and six years ago I started giving online lessons for Turkish and English language. I love reading, music, arts and meeting people from different cultures. I have taught both to adults and children before, online and face to face, so I have experience with teaching to different ages. In June 2021, I received my CELTA and now I am trying to improve myself more in teaching with special programs and courses. I am an enthusiastic and friendly person and I always try to make students feel comfortable during the lessons. Building a rapport with students is very important for me. I speak French (B1), Russian (B1-B2), and Ukrainian (B1-B2) too! Also, currently learning Greek. I enjoy immersing myself to different media and music in these languages too. I grew up in schools that have a very teacher-centered and traditional education style and for me, it was not effective at all. I try to conduct student-centered lessons with real-life contexts and give my student the main role as much as I can. I am patient and approachable.
