Casual Conversations or Structured Classes, you decide! 8 years ago I finished my studies with a second bachelor in Business, with great honorees. Immediately after that I started travelling and I never really stopped. I've lived in Korea, Philippines, Australia, New-Zealand and travelled around in 20+ other countries. Along the way, I picked up fire dancing as a hobby, and there I discovered a passion for teaching. To fund these travels, I worked as a Logistic Planner, Lab Assistant, Hotel Manager, Property Manager, WH Supervisor, HR-consultant and Carpenter. 4 years ago, I started helping immigrants with their English in Canada. Then a friend immigrated to the Netherlands, so i started helping her with that language. From there on, the Dutch-tutor-ball got rolling. I love one-on-one teaching because of 2 things: 1) how people learn is incredibly interesting for me. Different people learn in different ways, and the brain science behind these ways of learning is fascinating to me. And I do approach it like a scientist: testing something new, seeing how it works, and try to optimize it based on how well people retain it. 2) YOU. Through one-on-one teaching, i get the chance to really get to know the student. All the different kind of stories people can share, is the most rewarding for me, personally.
