I try to be as flexible as possible and adapt to my students' needs. I really believe that motivation is key to learning a language (or anything at all probably). That is why I try to focus on what really interests my students and 'build' on that, whatever it may be – a topic, an objective in the language, a desire to visit a place. That way learning will not feel as something one 'has to' do with all its difficulties but as something one can hopefully enjoy while in the process, while learning things that are relevant to them. So yes, as a joke I that I believe that as in any kind of relationship listening to others and asking them what they wish for is a very good skill in teaching too!

I truly love teaching and find it so exciting to watch my students make progress. I have experience teaching students ages 3 to 80! I started tutoring college level students while I was in grad school and have continued to teach adults and children. I know what it's like to be a beginner student so I am extremely patient and I like to keep things fun!
