I am tutoring languages online since last summer: most of my student already speak Italian and refine their language through my lessons, but I've been tutoring beginners as well.

I therefore acquired the ability to adapt to the needs of each student, particularly in terms of method and pacing. During the lessons we can talk about anything: general culture, obviously Italian traditions, music, cooking, sports and cinema for which I have a great passion.

I believe that the fastest and most effective way to learn a language is through practice: reading, writing, listening and speaking are the best weapons a student can have. I will help you get out of your confort zone with stimulating conversations, music, books and more.

I often suggest reviewing some grammar together, but I mainly focus on putting the language into practice because I believe that active listening and practice, even with mistakes, are extremely effective in language learning. In fact, I consider mistakes to be essential for progress!

Tutor di conversazione… e non solo! Let’s chat together in Italian! I'm afraid I'm not the typical teacher. I feel like I'm more of a friendly face correcting your errors and pushing you to practice and talk. I think a lot can be done alone with books but what makes talking to a native special is that one goes beyond the (often boring) book and is able to interact and have an exchange with the person. I studied languages in school and for a year in university. I know Italian grammar well and I love grammar in general. I translated for years and got to realise how hard it can be to use the language but also how beautiful Italian is. I do not teach children or complete beginners. I don't have the expertise and don't want to ruin the experience for them!

I have been teaching on Italki since 2021. During the study period, I had many pedagogical possibilities to witness the importance of preparing a good lesson and always having a back-up plan. Moreover, I also understood how relevant it is to create a good connection with the students and get to know them better in order to make them feel part of the learning process and being in the driving seat of their education.
