Actually what worked for me ... was the "algorithm" in italki. You have to go into the app and try to answer questions or just edit something from your bio ... try to do something new every day! I did that and started having students! Éxitos!! 💫🥰

Well you have no classes available until the 19th. You could do something about that. Also, you have no trial lessons; it might be a good idea to put that in as an option... Good luck! 🙂

Hey Liley, my fellow South African! :) I started teaching at the beginning of 2020 and it took about 2 weeks to get my first student. Once you have a review from a student other students are more likely to give your lessons a try. Having saod that there has been a huge increase in the number of teachers on iTalki since then so I think it's getting harder now and a lot of teachers are struggling to find students.
