Experienced teacher in online teaching with interactive exercises to learn Dutch For several years I have built up experience in primary education in the capital of Belgium. I taught not only Dutch, but also French, initiation English, mathematics, science, technology, history and art. The children have different multicultural backgrounds, with Dutch often being a second or third language or even not spoken at home. In a class of twenty students, I tried to have each student learn at his or her level. Today I challenge myself to teach the Dutch language to adults, but also still to children. As before, I will look at everyone as an individual.

I generally start my lessions in my own style and with my own plan in mind, but I'm flexible and will adapt according to your needs.

During my lessons, I prefer to use online resources, such as short articles and videos, but if you have suggestions for other materials you would like to use, we can use those as well. During the first lesson I would like to find out what you are interested in and what your expectations are, so that I can personalize my lessons according to your own needs. I find it very important to create an environment in which you feel comfortable and encouraged to ask anything you would like to know more about. My name is Jeremy and I have lived in 8 countries, graduated from Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA), and completed Staatsexamens (I & II) and CNaVT. I teach Dutch to children aged 12+ and adults, A1-B2, as well as Spanish and English (my native language) at all levels. I love helping others with languages! For 30+ years, I have learned languages and understand the complexities, challenges, and different methods to progress and improve. I recognize different learning styles and a student's specific needs, having completed a 250-hour language teaching course and 2,500+ hours of experience!

Although I have a technical background (Electrical Engineering / IT) I always had a desire to do more with languages and I have a talent for learning languages and teaching. During my IT career I also had to teach (the use of specific software etc.). At some point when it was time to find an other job, I made the change to become a full time language teacher. Since then I have been building up my experience at schools, in private lesson and very soon also through Skype.

I like to make jokes and laugh and after a couple of classes I will interview you every class about what you have done since the last time we've seen each other so you are prepared for the real Dutch live (we always want to know everything from everybody).
