Children feel excited when receive many gifts. As for adults, birthday is usually a common day. They might just eat out with family without a birthday cake. As for the elder people, they usually feel sad on their birthday, because a birthday means that their life is definitely shorter than before. So, on their birthday, their children and grandchildren usually visit them and try their best to make them happy. Instead of a birthday party, a family reunion can comfort a elder person well.
