I recently moved to a new apartment that is closer to my university. The moving process was not easy because I had to throw away a lot of things that I no longer needed. Sorting through all of my belongings and deciding what to keep and what to discard took more time and energy than I expected. Fortunately, I was not alone. With the help of the people around me, I managed to get through the challenge. Their support really made a big difference, especially when I felt overwhelmed by the amount of work. On the actual moving day, my mother came to assist me. Having her there was very reassuring, not only because she helped with heavy tasks, but also because her presence made the whole experience feel less stressful. Thanks to her and others who lent a hand, I was able to settle into my new place smoothly. One of the things I appreciate the most about this apartment is its strong security system. Knowing that the building is well protected gives me a sense of relief and peace of mind. I am truly happy to live here, and I feel confident that this new environment will support my daily life as a student.

I can't believe that I have been shopping online for over 20 years. I still remember the first time I bought items online. It was a real big discount. The same clothes sold online was much cheaper than in a bricks and mortar. Later, more and more essentials could be bought online. Finally besides having a haircut, almost everything can be done online. In that case, we often buy some items on impulse. Some of them are covered with dust since they arrived our homes. So, after experiencing repaying credit cards every month which caused I had a tight budget next month. I decide to leave the items stay in the shopping cart for a few days each time when I shop online. Maybe some stores will send me an email with a discount to get me to complete my purchase, but I usually refuse them. I also make a budget for my online shopping to give myself a spending limit. Even so, I still spend a lot on shopping online every month.

Present Perfect Continuous vs. Present Perfect Many students get confused when to use Present Perfect Continuous and how it is different from Present Perfect. Let’s make it clear. Present Perfect Continuous (have/has been + verb-ing) We use it to emphasize the duration of an activity that started in the past and is still continuing now, or has recently stopped but has visible results. Example: I have been studying English for two hours. (focus on how long) Example: She is tired because she has been running. (visible result) Present Perfect (have/has + past participle) We use it to talk about completed actions connected to the present, or about life experiences. Example: I have studied English for two years. (focus on the fact, not the duration) Example: I have visited London twice. (life experience) Key difference: Present Perfect Continuous = focus on the activity itself and its duration/process. Present Perfect = focus on the result or the fact that something happened. Tip: If you want to highlight how long or show the ongoing process, use Present Perfect Continuous. If you want to highlight what has been done, use Present Perfect.
