Regular conversation with a native speaker is one of the best ways of improving your speaking and listening skills when you are learning a new language. In addition to improving these skills, you will also gain confidence and expand your familiarity with grammar and expand your vocabulary.

Conversation and Speaking for Proficiency

Applying for a new job, position, or study placement and facing an interview can be a very stressful experience, even more so when it’s in another language! My Interview Preparation sessions are designed to help you to get ready for the challenge, whatever your current English level or experience, whatever industry or position you are applying for.

I can provide you with general advice to prepare for the interview, and practice for the interview with a range of questions from general and typical questions that come up in any interview, to role or industry specific questions and behavioural questions which test your soft skills.

Associateship in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - ACoT (TESOL) by the College of Teachers (now The Chartered College of Teaching).

My degree covered a broad range of modules, including two language modules. 'Worlds of English' which looked at the development of English in its historical and modern international contexts, and the future of the language as a medium of global communication. I also completed a module in advanced Spanish.

An interdisciplinary approach to the study of corruption and anti-corruption focusing on the fundamental questions: what is corruption, what causes it and what should be done to combat it.

I worked teaching English as a Foreign Language at the Tarapoto campus of a private university in Peru. I taught undergraduate students and adult learners from elementary to lower intermediate level English. I accumulated approximately 700 hours in the classroom teaching groups of between 15 and 30 students. I also prepared and taught two workshops – as part of the ‘Regional Conference on English’ organised by the university in 2007.
