During our test lesson, I will get to know you and ask you questions about you and your goals.
I will introduce myself and show you my teaching style. Please ask any questions you may if you have any.

Have you been studying English for a long time, but struggle to have a conversation in English? Do you not feel confident when you speak English? Do you not have many opportunities to actually use the English that you know and practice it with a native English speaker? If so, then you should book the Conversation Practice Lessons. 

These lessons are for Intermediate(B2), Advanced(C1), Proficient(C2) level students, and they are not structured. 

Before each lesson, I will send a video and/or article to you on italki several days before the lesson about a particular topic. The topics are interesting and very relevant. You will have fun talking about various topics. During the lesson, we will have a discussion about the topic and if you make any grammatical errors or pronunciation errors, I will write them down so you can be aware of them. 

You will learn a lot of new information about so many different topics. You will also learn some new and useful vocabulary words (including idioms, phrasal verbs, etc.) from the videos/articles, which will allow you to speak more effectively and enable you to speak more like native English speaker. If there are some words or phrases that will allow you to speak more naturally, I will inform you about them.

There are times when I will suggest that you take the lead in our conversations. It will be good practice for you to not rely on others to speak, but to force yourself to use the English that you know to communicate about different topics effectively and naturally. These lessons are similar to a regular conversation that you would have with a friend, family member, coworker, etc. You will need to express your thoughts, feelings, opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc. You will need to ask questions, ask for clarification, etc.

Unstructured Conversation Practice B2-C2 Level

Do you have problems understanding conversations in English? Would you like to have more complex conversations about various topics? Do you struggle with speaking English smoothly? Would you like to learn more useful vocabulary to help you to speak more like a native speaker? If so, you should select this lesson. 

These lessons are for Elementary(A2), Intermediate(B1), Intermediate(B2), and Advanced(C1) level students. We focus on improving your speaking and listening skills, and work on greatly expanding your vocabulary. We also do some grammar exercises.

In each lesson, we will discuss a specific everyday topic that I select. If you aren’t familiar with a certain topic, and worry about what to say, don’t worry. If needed, I have some possible questions related to the topic to help guide our conversation. If you are already familiar with certain topics, you will still be able to gain new knowledge during the lesson, learn new vocabulary, and get some beneficial listening practice.

My lessons are interactive and are designed in a way to make learning English interesting, fun, and less frustrating. If you are normally someone who doesn’t talk very much, you will find yourself speaking a lot during our lessons because you will feel very comfortable and will begin to open up more and more. If you are a talkative person, you will enjoy engaging in the conversations about various topics and will often get the chance to take the lead.

There are listening exercises which will help you to develop your listening skills and become more familiar with various accents. You will learn some useful vocabulary (idioms, phrasal verbs, etc.) that will help you to express yourself better when you speak in English. You will have the opportunity to use the new words that you learn.
