Trial Lesson - A chance for us to get to know each other and see how we can work together! We will discuss your learning goals, previous experience of the language, and what teaching methods are likely to work for you. Of course, trial lessons are also an opportunity for us to start working together on your learning goals, be it conversation, grammar, vocabulary or a mixture.

A chance to talk about a range of topics: Wales/Welsh culture, hobbies, language learning, news/current affairs, or whatever else floats your boat!

During conversation classes, I will write two sets of notes for you - one on vocabulary and grammar that you  can use during the conversation, and another on grammar and pronunciation tips, which I will explain to you after the conversation has ended. 

I will keep some brief notes on your personal strengths and weaknesses so that we can target these areas as efficiently as possible going forward. I will offer you grammar exercises I have made myself to help you to improve on any gaps or common errors that you make. If I don't have the required exercise, I will make it for you! 

Note that if you would like to follow my personal Welsh course, you should book grammar lessons. 

Note that these classes are for those who want to focus primarily on conversation, improving grammar/vocabulary as we talk. If you would like structured grammar lessons (with homework, regular review etc.), please choose the grammar/vocabulary class. With this class, I can guarantee regular homework and a personalised learning plan. We can of course practice conversation as well in grammar classes.

Welsh Grammar/Vocabulary - improve your understanding of Welsh grammar and boost your vocabulary with lessons tailored around your needs!

These are structured grammar lessons with regular homework. 

I have been tutoring languages since I was 18 years old, and have been teaching Welsh for over 2 years. In this time, I have developed my own Welsh course, complete with exercises. I am constantly refining these exercises to make them as clear, efficient and helpful as possible. The exercises are available to all of my students. 

I have a detailed understanding not only of how languages work, but of the specific errors that often trip up Welsh learners. I have developed exercises to target these specific areas. 

Most pupils like me to set homework, but I can adjust this based on how much time you have available for study - you may not want any homework at all. I offer a laid-back approach for those who want to study at a more relaxed pace, and a more structured approach for those looking for faster progress.
