In this lesson, we will discuss your goals for your English lessons, and how I can help you to achieve these. You can tell me about your experience in learning English so far, and we can have an informal chat in English so that I can gauge your level of English. 
If the lesson is for a child, we can also play some fun warm-up games for me to get to know your child a little bit, and we can talk about what interests them and how they learn best.

In these lessons, we will choose some topics that your are interested in, that you would like to be able to discuss in English. You can expect some general informal conversation with me, and I will support you to improve your grammar where necessary, extend your vocabulary and give you some common words and phrases that native speakers would use, helping you to sound more authentic and natural when you speak English.

I will work with your child to develop their English skills in a fun and informal way. You can expect lessons that are tailored to the needs and interests of your child, and I will draw on my 25+ years as a schoolteacher to help me plan and deliver great lessons that meet your child's specific needs. 
I will use some basic questions which are repeated weekly, in order to develop confidence and fluency, as well as games and interactive activities to help your child in an enjoyable way.

Whether you're a total beginner or just getting started, I can help you quickly gain the  confidence and skills to start talking English with native speakers! We will focus on key words and phrases, basic grammar and vocabulary building to help you reach your goals and start speaking straight away.

English for beginners

If you have a good level of basic English, then I will work with you to deepen your fluency and grammatical knowledge. I can assess what I think are the most important aspects that you need to learn, or if there is something specific you would like to work on, I can plan lessons to help you practise and achieve that goal. I will be led by you on how you prefer to learn, and I will make suggestions of activities that I think will help you to reach your full potential.

I worked as a teacher for 5-6 year olds, and also taught French to 9-11 year olds.
