About this lesson

This course helps you speak natural, native-like Japanese without relying on difficult grammar explanations.
By practicing pronunciation and useful sentence patterns, you will be able to communicate more smoothly in daily life and while traveling in Japan.
All materials are original and created by me, so the sentences are 100% natural and practical.

If you can already handle basic daily conversation but still find it difficult to understand and use the wide variety of expressions that native speakers use, I recommend starting with this course.

Many learners feel that Japanese suddenly becomes much more difficult at the intermediate level. To support different levels and learning styles, I use three different intermediate textbooks:

【Tobira】

This textbook is recommended for students who:
・want to talk more confidently about topics beyond daily conversation
・want to learn more about Japanese culture and society
・prefer grammar explanations in English

This textbook is recommended for students who:
・want to practice practical and usable Japanese
・enjoy learning through interesting topics
・have finished GENKI II and want to continue with the same publisher’s series
・prefer grammar explanations in English

【Weekly J】

This textbook is recommended for students who:
・have finished beginner textbooks but still lack confidence
・want to practice listening and speaking with materials that are not too difficult

This course is designed for learners who have already studied some basic Japanese grammar but are not yet confident having short conversations with native speakers.

It is also suitable for learners who would like to improve their pronunciation and sound more natural.

My Teaching Style

In this course, we mainly use GENKI and Minna no Nihongo.

I believe that learning with a native teacher is not only about understanding grammar, but also about learning how to use Japanese in real communication.

To make the most of our lesson time, I encourage students to review the textbook explanations before class whenever possible. This allows us to spend more time speaking, listening, and actively using Japanese.

Rather than relying heavily on English translations, I will help you gradually develop the ability to think and communicate in Japanese.

I will also introduce natural expressions that Japanese people actually use in daily life, in addition to textbook Japanese.

Lesson Information

We read authentic materials and learn advanced vocabulary, grammar, and natural expressions used by native speakers.

② Output
Students answer discussion questions, complete workbook activities, and exchange opinions with me about the topics from the materials.

These lessons are designed to help students improve not only their reading and listening skills, but also their ability to express opinions naturally and confidently in Japanese.
