About me
I was born in Sweden but have lived a large part of my life in London, England.  I love languages, travelling and meeting new people. I have lived in six different countries and love teaching online because it allows me to travel. I have worked with languages most of my professional life, mainly as a translator and teacher, and this is something I want to continue doing. I love languages, both learning and teaching them.

Me as a teacher
I am a very patient and calm person by nature. I believe it is important to have fun while learning so I always try to make my lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible. My professional training, along with many years of teaching experience, has helped me develop different methods of teaching, something that is important because we all learn in different ways and consequently need to adapt our lessons to suit each learner.
 
My Lessons & Teaching Style
As a teacher, I believe that it is very important to be flexible and adapt your way of teaching to the student’s needs. How I structure my lessons depends a lot on the students and what they aim to achieve e.g., improving speaking skills or preparing for an exam etc. The way I teach, and correct students, depends on their level. Sometimes it is better to do on-the-spot correction and sometimes it is better to let them speak freely, just writing down notes while the learners speak, later talking about what they could improve at the end of the lesson. I work from presentation, through practice to production.
I believe that having many years of being a language student myself, in Italian, Spanish and other languages, helps me better understand students and their individual needs and allows me to adapt to them.

Conversation practice

I have the equivalent of a BA and other University studies from abroad, however, I do not have the graduation certificate as I am working on my final thesis.
