English lessons designed for beginner and elementary students. We will concentrate on speaking and listening in particular to help you with fluency and enable you to communicate more effectively. There will also be grammar practice to help you understand basic structures in English and avoid common mistakes, as well as a focus on everyday vocabulary.

General English (A1-A2)

English lessons designed for intermediate and upper-intermediate students. We will concentrate on speaking and listening in particular to help you with fluency and enable you to communicate more effectively. If necessary, there can also be a brief review of basic tenses before we study more complex grammar. There will be a focus on less common lexis to widen your vocabulary, as well as optional written assignments to put it into practice.

General English (B1-B2)

English lessons designed for advanced and proficiency students. We will concentrate on pronunciation, uncommon vocabulary, idiomatic expressions and advanced grammatical structures. There will also be frequent use of source material such as newspaper articles, plus opportunities to practise speaking and writing at a near-native level.

General English (C1-C2)

For those of you looking for a more casual lesson, I'm happy to offer an hour of conversation in English to help you feel more comfortable when speaking it. The first lesson will be a chance to get to know each other and we can chat about almost anything you like, so the topic of each lesson can be chosen by either me or you. Conversation Practice

I have a lot of years of experience teaching preparation courses for the Cambridge exams (Key, Preliminary, First, Advanced and Proficiency) and the IELTS exam. I have also helped prepare young learners for the Starters, Movers and Flyers exams. I would be happy to offer lessons specifically designed to help you pass any of these exams. I am also open to reviewing any written work you would like to submit after taking these lessons.

Cambridge or IELTS exam preparation

The Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) is awarded after one or three months training as a teacher of English as a foreign language. It is a globally-recognised certificate and enables the bearer to work as an English teacher in a wide range of instutions at home or abroad.
