In this lesson you can experience what a real lesson with me is like. I can assess your level and your needs, help you make a study plan for future lessons and also get to know each other.
Usually we will start with some conversation and get familiar with each other, then we we do some vocabulary or grammar exercises. After this we will discuss what you need and how you can achieve your goals.

These lessons are for people that want to get a very high IELTS score (7.5 - 9). We will follow a tailor-made plan that is unique for you in order to help you get the best IELTS score you possibly can. The lessons focus on all 4 sections of the test. During the lesson we will do some activities aimed at improving your score and understanding your mistakes. I give lots of homework and practice papers for you to further improve during your free time.

My Book Club lessons are perfect for students who really want to push their English to the next level! The lessons are based around a popular best selling book (please see the available books below) which we will read together over a course of several weeks, using it as a tool to improve and boost your English skill across all 4 skills - reading, speaking, writing and listening.  

The course includes speaking practice in our live lessons, writing tasks aimed at improving your vocabulary, grammar and writing skill and lots of extra materials for you to watch and learn from. 

You will be asked to read a few chapters of the book BEFORE each lesson. Then during our lesson we will discuss the points raised in those chapters. Each lesson comes with useful vocabulary to focus on before the lesson, discussion questions to guide our debates and conversation and a follow-up writing task for homework. 

The Book Club course is designed to take between 6 - 8 lessons (depending on the book) but we can go at a speed which is comfortable for you, making the course longer or shorter depending on your specific needs.

Book Club: 'Tuesdays With Morrie’ B2-C2 Level

In this course you will read one of the most fascinating books ever published, Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, the Austrian psychiatrist who survived the Nazi concentration camps of the Holocaust. 

The course lasts for 5 weeks, one lesson per week.

Each week you will read a bit of the book BEFORE the lesson. Then, in our lesson we will meet to discuss what we have read. 

The course includes homework and extra materials. 

This book is perfect for anyone with an interest in psychology, history and the human experience. 

The course is suitable for B2 - C2 level students (upper-Intermediate - advanced). Generally speaking this is an easy book to read because the level of English is quite simple. However, because the subject matter is very serious and complex, it requires some concentration to fully understand. 

About the book: I believe this book to be essential reading for every human being. With heart-wrenching personal experiences of one of the greatest minds to have put pen to paper in the 20th Century, this book will change how you see the world. This is not a record of the Holocaust, nor does it seek to understand the horrors that were committed, it is a journey into the human soul in search for meaning in the darkest of times.
