This is a class for students at an A2 level of English. They are not fluent, but can express their ideas. Each student will require paddles (see teaching materials), one is an 'AGREE' paddle, the other, 'DISAGREE'. We will go through a series of statements. Students need to decide if they agree or disagree and hold up their paddle. They must be ready to share with the class at least one reason for why they agree or disagree with each statement. Here is are the first 2 statements, as an example of what to expect; 1. Strawberries are the best fruit. 2. Summer is the best season.

Students will learn to express their opinion in a safe environment. All opinions will be respected, no matter what others may think. This is also a good exercise, to introduce debating. We will discuss new vocabulary, and review grammar and verb use.
