いいえ、おいしくありませんでした。No, it wasn't.
きのうはやすみでしたか。Was there a holiday yesterday?
いいえ、やすみじゃありませんでした。No, it was not a holiday.
きのうはひまでしたか。Was there any free time yesterday?
いいえ、ひまじゃありませんでした。No, I’m not free yesterday.

エベレストは高いです。Everest is high.
エベレストは富士山より高いです。Everest is higher than Mt Fuji.
アメリカは日本よりずっとおおきいです。The USA is much bigger than Japan.
ひらがなとカタカナとどちらがむずかしいですか。Which is more difficult, hiragana or katakana?
カタカナのほうがむずかしいです。Katakana is more difficult.
しごとと勉強（べんきょう）とどちらがおもしろいですか。Which is more interesting, working or studying?
勉強のほうがおもしろいです。Study is more interesting.
スポーツでなにがいちばんすきですか。What sport do you like best?
テニスがすきです。I like tennis.
レスリングがすきです。I like wrestling.
日本食でなにがいちばんすきですか。What do you like best about Japanese food?
ラーメンがすきです。I like ramen.
すしがすきです。I like sushi.
