1月の第2月曜日は「成人（せいじん）の日」です。日本では去年から18才が大人のスタートになりました。世界では18才の国が多いようですね。
例外を調べてみました。えーシンガポールは21才ですね。でも、お酒とたばこは18才からって、日本と反対なのが、おもしろいです。それから、プエルトリコは14才ですか！選挙（せんきょ）もお酒もたばこもOKだなんて、ちょっと想像（そうぞう）ができない…すみません、プエルトリコの方、いらっしゃったら、教えてください。

はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストのシーズン３の５回目です。前回のエピソードで体調不良についてお話ししたら、何人かの生徒さんが心配してくれました。検査は受けていませんが、症状はもう治りました。おそらく、ただの食中毒だったと思います。私は元気です。いつもポッドキャストを聞いてくださって、ありがとうございます。

Hello. This is episode 5 of season 3 of my podcast. After I talked about my health problems in the last episode, some of my students were concerned. I haven't been tested (for a stomach ulcer), but my symptoms are gone now. It was probably just food poisoning. I am fine. Thanks again for listening to the podcast.

もうすぐ春なので、新しい生徒さんが増えています。春は新しいことを始めたくなる季節ですね。私も現在いろいろなことを計画しています。たとえば、エピソード３でワイヤレスイヤホンを買った話をしました。なので先週、イヤホンをデスクトップパソコンでも使えるようにするために、パソコンに無線LANカードを取り付けました。無線LANカードのWi-FiやBluetoothは思ったより良かったので、キーボードもマウスもワイヤレスにしようと計画しています。そうすればケーブルが少なくなって、机の周りがすっきりします。

It's almost spring and I have more new students. Spring is the season when you want to start something new. I’m currently planning a lot of things myself. For example, in episode 3 I talked about buying wireless earphones. So last week, I installed a wireless LAN card in my computer so that I can use the earphones with my desktop computer. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the wireless LAN card were better than I expected, so I plan to make the keyboard and mouse wireless as well. That way there will be fewer cables and a cleaner desk area.

計画はもう一つあります。私はよくベッドで本を読みますが、うちにはサイドテーブルがないので、飲み物を置く場所がありません。私は家で運動するので、部屋にサイドテーブルを置きたくありません。インターネットでカップホルダーを探しましたが、なかなかちょうどいいサイズのものがありません。そこで３Dプリンターを使って、ベッドのヘッドボードにつけられるカップホルダーを作ろうと考えています。３Dモデルを自分でモデリングしてデータを送ると、３Dプリントしてくれるサービスがあります。
