Two-Part Questions | IELTS #118
คำอธิบาย
Level B2 (approx. band 5.5-6.5) · Academic and General Training
Some Task 2 prompts ask two direct questions, one after the other. They look friendly, because there is no "agree or disagree". But they hide a trap.
In this episode:
• Spotting a two-part question
• Equal means equally developed
• Finding hidden sub-parts
• A thesis that answers both
• Model
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
Key points:
• one question, one body paragraph.
• develop both answers fully, and plan both before you write either.
• every "and" in a question can be a separate thing to answer.
• answer both questions briefly in the thesis, fully in the body, and again in the conclusion.
