こんにちは。今日は7月5日金曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、英語の「glass」を日本語でどう言うかについてお話しします。

まず、「グラス」について説明します。「グラス」は、飲み物を入れるコップのことです。たとえば、「ジュースをグラスで飲む」という文があります。この場合、「グラス」はジュースを飲むためのものです。グラスは割れやすいので、気をつけて使いましょう。

次に、「ガラス」について説明します。「ガラス」は、材料の一つです。窓やコップ、鏡などに使われるものです。たとえば、「窓ガラスをきれいにする」という文があります。この場合、「ガラス」は窓の部分のことです。

だから、もう一度「グラス」の説明をします。「グラス」はガラスで作られたコップということです。

この二つの言葉は、英語だと両方とも「glass」です。英語だと一つの言葉ですが、日本語だと二つになります。意味が違いますね。この二つの言葉を使って、もっと例文を見てみましょう。

	1.「ジュースをグラスに入れる」
	2.「ガラスのコップを落として割ってしまった」
	3.「窓ガラスが割れてしまった」
	4.「友達と一緒にグラスでビールを飲む」

「グラス」と「ガラス」の違い、わかりましたか？日本語には、おもしろくて変なカタカナがたくさんあります。覚えるのは大変だと思いますが、これらの違いを覚えると、もっと自然な日本語が使えるようになりますね。

ここで、皆さんに問題です。「グラス」と「ガラス」の違いは何ですか？
	1.「グラス」は飲み物を入れるコップで、「ガラス」は材料のこと
	2.「グラス」は材料のことで、「ガラス」は飲み物を入れるコップのこと
	3.「グラス」と「ガラス」は同じ意味
正解は1.「グラスは飲み物を入れるコップで、ガラスは材料のこと」です。

今天要和你们分享的字，可能你们再熟悉不过了，那就是，明，明亮的明，明天的明。

这个字呢，很多人在刚开始学习汉字的时候，就学过，因为它实在是用来学习会意字的绝佳例子。“明”，是一个左右结构的字，左边是“日”，是我们的太阳，右边是“月”，是我们的月亮。从地球上看去，天空中最亮的是什么，当然是我们的太阳和月亮。那把它们放在一起，意思就是明亮，不黑。

学习会意字最有意思的一点就是，当我们想想某一个字为什么要这么写时，我们不得不去想象古人的生活。就像这里的“明”字，在没有电灯的古代，太阳和月亮就是照亮着古人的唯一光亮。我们好像穿越到了古代，面对面地感受古人的生活。这也是汉字的最大魅力之一。

那“明”字搭配的词语也是很多，今天给大家分享一句俗语，“明人不做暗事”。这里的明人不是指全身发光的人哈，是指心地光明的人。暗事呢，是偷偷摸摸做的事。比如说，你今天在公司被某一个同事欺负了，你的朋友就建议你偷偷地给那个同事喝的水里加盐，报复他。但是你觉得你是一个心地光明的人，如果对那个同事有意见，那就当面和他沟通，不能在他背后做欺负他的事。于是你就可以说，“哎呀，算了，明人不做暗事。我下次见到他，和他当面讲”。这就是明人不做暗事，有意见只会当面提出来，不会在背后捣鬼。
