Except very familiar words, like "of", "please", "not", most chinese people can't fast discern the words that all letters are capitalized. Because most articles we read are written by lowercase letters instead uppercase letters, of course, the first letter of each sentence is capital. That means when chinese students read, they can not see much words which are all capitalized apart from the headings. And the another reason is that chinese characters don't have the "capital" form, most people don't know the implication behind the capitalized words——warning, esteem, emphasis... For example, signs with strong statements will use all uppercase letters; pious christian will use "Him" to call God…As a result, when most chinese people see a warning in all capitalized letters, even some of them have pretty good command of English, a slight of confusion will flash in their minds and it will takes longer time for them to recognize words comparing the lowercase letters.
