he enjoyed outdoor activities but his son doesn't too Can you explain why "doesn't" is used in the sentence instead of "does"?

They do not like outdoor activities. Is this the meaning? This is an awkward sentence. It is not written properly. Better examples: He and his son do not enjoy outdoor activities. OR He enjoys outdoor activities but his son does not.
