I studied Thai for three years in high school. At first, I wanted to study Korean. However, my grades were not good and my teacher said I may not pass the exam for the Korean course. Because of that, I chose the Thai course. I also chose Thai because I traveled to Thailand when I was 12 years old and I remembered having a great time there. The Thai language was very difficult, especially to read and to write. However, I was able to speak Thai. This is because my Thai teacher spoke only Thai from the first class. When I was in my third year of high school, I studied abroad in Thailand. I was able to talk with Thai people in Thai.
