For breakfast, Costa Ricans eat bread, sandwiches, cereal, fruits, pancakes, etc. It is also common that Costa Ricans eat "Gallo pinto". This is a traditional dish here, but there are many variants and names of the same dish in Caribbean countries. Some people think that "Gallo pinto" and "Rice and beans" are the same dish, but they are different dishes for us! "Gallo pinto" is a breakfast and "Rice and beans" is a lunch.
