If you don’t tell me everything you know, I cannot figure out in what way I can help..My hands are tied and I feel as if I was trying to do a join-the-dots drawing with too few dots.

You can use "can not" but out of AE is not too common. That said, "figure out" is quite AE as well. 😅 Cheers!!
