Spelling mistakes are often made by we Chinese students when it comes to writing. I can share a couple of them with you.
Once one of our fellow students reached out to the professor, all appeared to be perfect except for a term written as “Kings regards” at the end of the email. I suppose the professor felt honor that they had a noble student, as the reply started with the words “Your Majesty”.
I reckon the student’s error seemed not so bad. What if a man text his female colleague “I’ll give you a massage later”, actually, he meant to say “I’ll give you a message later”.
So those typos always remind me to check it twice when I write.

That is funny, and it doesn't only happen with Chinese students. I had a German student who was at a restaurant in England and wanted to show off her English in front of her family. She said to the waiter " I am a schnitzel" instead of " I would like to have /order a schnitzel" . The waiter looked at her like she was from out of space and once she realised what she had said she was very embarrassed. :-)
