A High Churchman is a member of the Anglican denomination of Christianity. Anglicans are Protestants but their religious practices are more similar to the practices of Roman Catholicism than typical Protestantism. (Anglicans whose practices are more typically Protestant are called Low Churchmen.) So High Churchmen basically just describes the specific kind of Christian they are.
