In the US people sometimes use them interchangeably, however jogging usually indicates a slower pace than running.

Jogging is in between walking and running. Running is at a faster pace.

Really they are the same but running suggests a bit faster or in a more serious way. In the UK people who call themselves runners rather than joggers are a bit of a joke.

There is a difference. Jogging is at one relatively slow pace steadily for awhile, while running is normally faster, with competition from others, where there’s no competition in jogging. Jogging is often (but not always) alone while running suggests (but not necessarily) a race with another person(s) at a pace which is as fast as possible.
