As adjective the difference between strange and weird
is that strange is not normal; odd, unusual, surprising, out of the ordinary while weird is connected with fate or destiny; able to influence fate.
As verb the difference between strange and weird
is that strange is (obsolete|transitive) to alienate; to estrange while weird is to destine; doom; change by witchcraft or sorcery.
As a noun weird is (archaic|except in scots) fate; destiny; luck.

As native spanish speaker, They’re synonymous in my opinion. I think “weird” is more common when you’re talking and “strange” is more for written-english.
As well, I use ‘weird’ more to refer to a person and ‘strange’ for talking about situations.

One difference between weird and strange could be that weird is something that is odd or unusual, but strange is sometimes used to mean the same thing, but could also be used just to mean something that is unknown to the person, as in a stranger.
Are you looking for help/practice with English in exchange for Ukrainian? I’ve been learning Ukrainian for about 2 months and am still a beginner but I’d like to make more friends from Ukraine to do language exchanges with. :)

Hello! Weird and strange have very similar definitions. I would say weird is more casual English than strange.
For example "he's weird" is more casual than "he is strange". Hope this helps!

"Weird," "strange," and "odd" all have nearly the same meanings, but they have different connotations (they are used in different situations and with different emotions behind them).
"Weird" is fairly neutral and is used most often for general things that seem abnormal.
"Odd" can mean the same as weird but it is used more with curiosity (as far as I've seen).
And "strange" is used mostly in a negative way.
