I play a violin. When I was 9, one of my classmates brought a violin to the class. She allowed us to play her violin. Even at that time, I composed a very easy piece with her violin. Then I made my mom buy me a violin. But at that time I used to play violin occasionally. After that when I started high school, I began to take a violin lesson per week. Ah good old days! I couldn't wait to come home to play the violin. And violin is much more easy to carry than a piano:)
