My experience might be more practical for Stormpetrel since both of us are living in China.

First of all I enrolled in a TOFEL preperation course in a language school called 新东方. Stormpetrel, you will find a branch in your city too, but I think the Beijing HQ offers the best courses. Teachers there are much more experienced and skillful. Camilo, I don't know what the language teaching market in your country is like, but I suppose there must be some agencies or schools teaching TOFEL, am I right?

There is a podcast called 60-second science (aka SSS) offered by Scientific American. I found it very helpful for improving listening skills to do dictation with these audios. There is a language learning website called 沪江 in Chinese, which has a section called 英语听写 for this. You can see your score of every dictation you made, and it will be delightful to see your progress after you've done this for a while. Camilo, you can find this podcast on iTunes, but you might need to look for a dictation tool yourself, sorry about that.

I have a 98, and I'm going to take the test again in January. I hope this time I can get a score more than 100.

I'll planning to take the Toefl exam in next May. But now, I think it is so hard. I should strive to get more and more progress.
