Experience with Assimil?

Hey everyone, 

 

Has anyone ever used and completed the Assimil program? If so, how much progress did you make and approximately how long did it take? 

So far I'm a big fan of the Pimsleur program and I'm also using Italki, but I want to add another tool to my language learning.

I think it's a good tool as long as you can devote one hour per day to studying the daily lesson as the book suggests. I was using it for learning Italian but I had to focus on brushing up on my French due to academic reasons.
