men wear white glbab and go to slalah (prayer)
they take a bath and put a perfum
The families always meet beacause this day is holiday
they eat together and read sourat ALkahf in the holy QURAAN
ALL MOUSQUES turn on the microphone to hear the speech

Salaam Nour. I also like Friday, although we do not have a holiday on Friday in England. Our wekeend is on Saturday and Sunday.
As I am studying Egyptian Arabic I found out from one of the young women I am helping with English that the weekends in Egypt are Friday and Sat, as I wished her a lovely Sunday, and she said it won't be lovely as she has to go to work.
Weekends in the States, just like in England and most of the West are Sat and Sun, and as the USA has 12 National holidays per year, many of them are on a Monday, so everyone who works or goes to school loves their 3 day weekends.
Friday is a weekly Eid for us Muslims. It is the day of Salat al Gommah (Jummah). Men wear white gilbabs and go to Salaah. They take a bath and put perfume on. The families always meet because this day is a holiday. They eat together and read Surat al Kahf from the Holy Quraan. All mosques turn on the microphone to hear the speech.
I like Friday.
