Relative proposition:

QUI   repeats the subject ( person or thing) of the verb that follows:

        La femme QUI passe porte une robe QUI brille.

QUE  repeats the object ( person or thing) of the verb that follows:

        La femme QUE je regarde porte une robe QUE j'aime.

ex:  la femme QUI  ( subject) arrive est la femme QUE (object) j'aime.

DONT  repeats the complement -object of a verb used with DE:

 la femme DONT je parle( parler de) conduit la voiture DONT je  rêve ( rêver de)
