Hi Lolita,

of course it depends on your mother tongue and on your attitude towards languages, but I don't think that Italian is more difficult than other languages. There are many good teachers here on Italki and most of them accept beginners. So, just give it a trial, book some lessons and enjoy learning Italian :)

Italian has been the easiest language for me to learn, and my mother language is not related to Italian at all. So no need to worry that it's difficult. It's very, very easy. I've no idea why you can't find a teacher. I've never heard of anyone having that problem. It is more common that teachers cannot find students.

Hi Lolita,

I have just become a professional Italian teacher on Italki and I do accept beginners!!! Italian is not the easiest language in the world, but not the most difficult either! And I am sure you already know a few words: have you ever heard about "spaghetti" or "pizza"?! See, you are not a total beginner.

I would be happy to help you learn Italian.  Take a look at my teaching profile and send me a message or request a trial session if you'd like to come up with a study plan. I speak English too, so we can communicate when something is too difficult in Italian. Good luck!

Hi Lolita,

I agree with Rosangela, maybe it's because Italian and Armenian don't come from the same "mother": for example, it's easier for Spanish to learn Italian, because they share the same Latin roots.

But don't worry, if you really want to discover this beautiful language, you will succeed :)

As Rosangela suggests, you can begin on your own, but if you're looking for an Italian teacher, I think English is the way to allow both of you to understand each other at the beginning.

Unfortunately, - like me :( - there aren't many Italians that know Armenian, though I believe it's a wonderful language. :)

A presto e buona fortuna! :)
