When is your rainy season?
America does not have a rainy season. It rains in spring, summer, fall and winter.

Okay but there are months when it rains more than in the rest of the year, right? Also how do you measure it? For example, in August there is not that much less precipitation than in October. Nevertheless October is notorious for being a rainy month. The reason is that in October, it drizzles for hours, and it is cloudy all the time. In August you would have a short thunderstorm for half an hour with roughly the same amount of water falling down, and it quickly dries up, because it is hot and the sun has more power.

I am living in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It rains only 9 days per year. Yesterday was one of them!

I'm from Singapore and we have an annual rainy season (though we call it Monsoon Season). It lasts roughly from November to March due to the north-easterly moisture-laden winds from the South China Sea. From March to October, weaker south-westerly winds prevail but the wind passes over the much larger Indonesia island of Sumatra and loses much of its moisture and Singapore gets the leeward effect (thus the dry season). Having said that, I feel that the distinction between the wet and dry season has blurred. It could be a sultry week followed by a cooler and gusty week. I've even read on local news about a sofa being blown onto a busy road by a strong gust. Unbelievable!

Here in the southeast region of Brazil it rains mostly during the summer (November-February). Right now it's really dry, I can't even remember the last time it rained! :(
