IMO "Which would you prefer?" is better grammatically.

Hi, I like both.
I live in a small town on the coast and in summer we have lots of turists here. That's great because you can meet people even from other countries. 
But in winter our little town is almost desert, so we usually go on holidays on the neighborhood mountais!

Mountain

Both.

Mountain is perfect whether I feel the need to stay alone and in contact with nature.

Beach is more like 'let's have fun and don't think 'bout anything else but having a good time with friends.'
