겪다 means "to undergo, suffer". it is used for bad experience.

경험하다 means "to experience". it is used for any kind of experience.

e.g.

방문객들은 그 곳에서 다양한 직업을 경험할 수 있습니다. (O)

방문객들은 그 곳에서 다양한 직업을 겪을 수 있습니다. (X)

Visitors can experience various jobs there.

새로운 문화를 경험하고 전통을 배울 수 있을 거야. (O)

새로운 문화를 겪고 전통을 배울 수 있을 거야. (X)

I will be able to experience new cultures and learn new traditions.

그는 엄청난 고난을 경험했다. (O)

그는 엄청난 고난을 겪었다. (O)

The iron entered into his soul.

겨울에는 10명 중 3명이 감기로부터 고통을 겪고 있습니다.(O)

겨울에는 10명 중 3명이 감기로부터 고통을 경험하고 있습니다.(O)

Three out of ten suffer from colds in the winter.
