Yes Barbara you’re totally right. Very few for European Portuguese unfortunately. I downloaded two books: ‘Teach yourself instant Portuguese’ and ‘colloquial Portuguese: the complete course for beginners’. Got them for free :) But they are very old and think there is better out there.

I'm using Duo lingo.. for an absolute beginner to Portuguese it's very helpful.
