What's the difference of "What's wrong?" and "What's wrong with you?"

The basically mean the same thing. Where I live, it is more common to hear "What's wrong" if somebody is sad, sick, etc. "What's wrong with you?" is said normally when someone is being rude to you. However, they can almost be used interchangeably.

Watch out, Shu. “What’s wrong with you” can be extremely rude (as demonstrated by Marcelo). It can imply that the person you’re talking to is the *cause* of a problem and that they are faulty in some way.
