" Pretty good " this term confused me so much
I suppose it means "very good" or "quite good"
but some people told me that means
"not bad" , "it is OK", "acceptable"
which one is more precise? thanks for your interpretation first.
For me pretty good is a wat to say quite good or rather good. It's tha same appreciation
"pretty good" means that it's not yet good enough to say "it's good", but it's also not bad. I would say it's a little better than "not bad", "acceptable" or "ok", but it's just not fully "good" yet.
For example, I could say "I've had a pretty good day." This would mean that nothing has been bad that day, everything's gone smoothly, but just nothing especially good happened that day.
It means fairly good. The scale would depend on whether the person is an optimist or a pessimist. Some people will rarely say that's good; they will say say that's not bad.
