I Will Venmo You
Could you please correct my English? I went to a bank to send money to my friend. Banks charge a fee when we send money to a different bank. I remember “venmo.” If I could tell my friend that I would venmo her, it would be handy. There is no fee to send money using venmo. However, Japan is a cash society, so such services haven’t been that popular here in Japan. I don’t think the venmo system is available here. Do you often venmo someone?

Could you please correct my English? I went to a bank to send money to my friend. Banks charge a fee when we send money to a different bank. I remember <s style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">“venmo.”</s>("Venmo".) If I could tell my friend that I would venmo(Venmo is always capitalized because it is a proper noun. You are using it as a verb here. This is colloquially acceptable as informal language mostly in speaking. If this were a formal document or professional email even, I would not use it this way.) her, it would be handy. There is no fee to send money using <s style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">venmo</s>(Venmo). However, Japan is a cash society, so such services haven’t been that popular here in Japan. I don’t think the <s style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">venmo</s>(Venmo)system is available here. Do you often <s style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">venmo</s>(Venmo) someone?
Yes, I use Venmo :) Grammatically, using Venmo as a verb is not correct. However, neither is "Google" as in "Google it". This is colloquial speech and is informal. It is acceptable to say "Venmo me" in colloquial or informal speech, your meaning will be obvious. If I were sending a professional email or having a professional phone call, I would not say "Venmo me" I would say something like "Send the funds through Venmo." Or, "you can pay me with Venmo." Let me know if you have any questions about my corrections.
