Major in language will have a good prospect?
Do language majors have good job prospects?

July is around the corner, meaning it’s the time for the annual graduation.

But it’s said that most of students who study language find jobs nothing to do with major.
But it’s said that most students who study a language, find jobs that have nothing to do with their major.
If you are confront with this result, what do you think about that?
What should a new graduate do?
For me the disappointed feeling was increasingly strong after I have been back from Shanghai.
I am becoming more concerned after what I experienced on my visit to Shanghai.
Because nearly a lot of company recruit intern except to the students who study language so that I have no idea what I really quest for in the future.

In my opinion that studying language has a narrow prospect to take up on an occupation.

If we step into the work that has nothing to do with our major, maybe a lot of student think that they waste four years even much more.

Given most circumstance language is regarded just as a tool for communication.

If you are ambitious for a higher living standard or you want to be promoted, you must study something applied that appealing to the market demand on.

This is a good essay.
I don't quite agree. You would be surprised how important communication skills are in companies and organizations. 98% of Chinese cannot communicate well in English, and have a hard time working in multinational companies or doing international business. Oftentimes, the other business skills are easier to teach than the language skills.
