Even though we are in the middle of spring, this morning not only was it cloudy and windy but it rained.

An American weatherman would say it like this

Good morning, you are waking up to partly cloudy skies. It is windy out there and even rained for a short time. The calendar says that it is springtime, but I tell you folks you sure wouldn't know it by the weather today.
