I said this to my children, is it correct?
If you do not come now, the food will be cold

اذا انتم ليس جائوا الان, الطّعام سيكون برد

اذا ما جائوا الان, الطّعام سيكون برد

إذا لم تأتوا الآن ,الطّعام سيكون باردا

forgot to mention ..you dont have to say يكون as in Arabic you can change a noun and make it a verb ..

like يبرد which means" becoming cold " 

another example  is أحمر which means "red" in arabic you can turn that word into a verb 

meaning "it is getting red"  يحمر  . you dont have to say yakoon ahmar or yakoon barid 

that makes arabic such a wonderful language .

it should be سيكون بارد 

برد means coldness and not cold 

and the other one .. .you said جائوا which means |they came|...  it should have been 

"ان لم تأتو الان سيبرد الطعام" ( dont say in lam, but illam ^_*)

notice the س before يبرد  the س means will and يبرد means to cool down .
