1. Significa mas ou menos "chegar."
So,
I get to work at 8 in the morning. - Eu chego ao trabalho as 8 da manha.
I got up the stairs fast. - Cheguei ao topo da escada rápido. (Enfoca no final - o fim das escaleras)
I got to the club before she did. - Eu cheguei ao clube antes dela.
I get angry sometimes. - Eu fico (me torno) com raiva as vexes.
She got fat on her trip. - Ela se engordou no viajem.
He gets scared in the dark.
I got books for my birthday. - Eu recebei livros por meu aniversario.
She got my old shirt. - Ela recebeu minha camisa velha.
We got the tickets! - A gente ganhou/recebeu/comprou os bilhetes!
Então, si a frase é "get ___(algum lugar)" fala de direção.
