An amusing piece of prose.

A shining blade, forged of from the core of a fallen star, eternal in existence, unbreakable, or so it was thought.

Now it lays, gleaming on the floor, shards scattered throughout the room, and the reason?

A misplaced bottom, also laying in bleeding ruins.

I agree.  Indeed a very nice and thought provoking piece if you read between the lines :)  My style:

One shinning blade forged from the core of a fallen star. An eternal existence and unbreakable; or so it seemed/seems.  Now laying. Now gleaming and upon the floor, myriad shards scattering all over the room.  And for what reason? One misplaced bottom. In the bleeding ruins, laying forever more.

This is to show those learning more advance English that everyone has their own style.  No style is superior than the other but how it can be expressed differently and how it affects the reader.  Hence the term, "creative writing".
