Choosing College

Recently, my dad and I have been discussing the topic of whether I should study in a college near my hometown or a relatively far one. My dad suggested the closer one since I may would probably go home more often. However, I prefer the farther one because the college is more famous and one of my best friends are is going there. Unfortunately, my father stated that he wouldn't change his mind at all. After this that conversation, I couldn't persuaded him to accept my request.
