Are Books More Important Than Experience?

When I was in elementary school, my teachers always told me to read as many books as possible/as I could so I could gain knowledge as much as possible as much knowledge as possible. But as I grew older, I found that it was not only books that could give me knowledge, but also experience. If I were asked which one is more important, I would rather say that experience is (or just "... I would say experience). Why so is that?

Experience challenges us to face real problems in life. While books already state problems in words, experience requires us to identify problems ourselves, sometimes without any guidance from anyone. Problems in books only require our thinking to solve them. On the other hand, experience requires our thinking, knowledge, energy, and everything of us (maybe "and everything else") to solve the problems.

Experience teaches us to cope with hurdles and failure we might find in a certain situation. Experience also seem never let us never seems to let us to rest and forces us to work harder and harder everytime. The more experience we got get, the more challenges we are going to facing on we will be faced with. We may find something happens unexpectedly that makes our path become more complex. This can be really tiring, make us very dispirited, but we have no choice than but to walk through it and in the end, we can make it. We have to work hard fighting them, but in the end either we are either going to win or lose, we will get more. To sum up, experience could be a great teacher for us.

However, we still can not ignore the power of books in providing knowledge for us. It is essential to keep learning from books as there are many informations is much information we can not attain from experience because of the hefty fee, such as learning about other countries' culture. Not many people can afford to go to other countries in order to learn about their cultures and books can be an alternatives to learn about it them.
